Books are a huge part of what has shaped myself and the work I undertake each and everyday (along with blogs & podcasts). And it’s become a more and more common question from readers of “which books do I read?” – So I want to take an opportunity to each month give you a book to read or listen to, it will be a book I’ve really enjoyed and learnt from.
By buying through the links below you will be helping towards the SEOAndy running costs.
Book #1 – Business Stripped Bare
Title: Business Stripped Bare: Adventures of a Global Entrepreneur
Author: Sir Richard Branson, Virgin
Month: June 2014
Now although not the first in his series, Business Stripped Bare, is an open and honest look at why & how Branson took on many areas of industry and the challenges he faced – along with the success he has achieved. This is a book which I read early on after starting SEOAndy and it really did help shape how I see business today.

Book #2 - Ice Cream Social
Title: Ice Cream Social: The Struggle for the Soul of Ben & Jerry’s
Author: Brad Edmonson
Month: July 2014
This was one of my most recent reads and I read it on a recommendation of a good friend. I wasn’t let down, Ben and Jerry’s started from a low-base and managed to change the world with a revolutionary and insanely ambitious three section mission for success. They didn’t just change the world of Ice Cream but the whole world by supporting progressive causes. It’s a must read.

Book #3 - Delivering Happiness
Title: Delivering Happiness: A Path to Profits, Passion, and Purpose
Author: Tony Hsieh
Month: August 2014
I read this book for the first time 2 years ago. I did so because I wanted to understand how the core values Tony held such as “deliving WOW service” set his company apart and just how it helped Zappos become one of the biggest shoe retailers on the face of the earth. This is a personal vew from Tony over his organisation and how it was formed, is full of passion and action points for business leaders and business owners to learn from. A must read.

Book #4 - Let Go, Overcoming Adversity
Title: Let Go
Author: Pat Flynn
Month: Sept 2014
As with Sir Richard Branson, I am a big fan of Pat Flynn – his story is one of wanting to simply supply for his family and live a comfortable life, none of this getting extremely rich nonsense. This “short” book is the story of his past and how he came to be a leader in the passive income industry (which no doubt we are contributing to by buying this book). If you don’t read anything else for the rest of the year, read Let Go by Pat Flynn.
