Craftsmen Industries Builds a 3D Printing Mobile Showroom Trailer for Stratasys
3D printing is one of those technologies people need to see working. Stratasys wanted face-to-face product demonstrations beyond the trade-show floor, and Craftsmen Industries customized a leased gooseneck trailer into a mobile showroom for printers, sample parts and conversations about additive manufacturing across the country.
Craftsmen Industries builds mobile showroom trailers for Stratasys. Craftsmen Industries customized a leased gooseneck trailer for the Stratasys tour. The Stratasys mobile showroom includes two custom slide-outs and a glass-paneled wall. The Stratasys showroom supported a six-month national tour.
The Challenge: Working Demonstrations for Business Customers
Craftsmen Industries built the Stratasys showroom to bring 3D printing demonstrations to businesses.
The brief called for a way to connect directly with businesses and show 3D printing in action outside trade shows. The showroom needed an inviting footprint suited to the tour's visitor-spacing approach. A leased trailer addressed the project's schedule and budget needs while providing the base for customization.

- Glass-paneled wall and custom laminate cabinetry
- Six-month national tour with printer demonstrations
Expanding the Showroom and Opening the View
Craftsmen Industries added two slide-outs and a full-height glass wall to the Stratasys trailer.
The customized gooseneck trailer uses two slide-outs, including a wall of full-height glass panels and sliding doors. A railed deck and stairs lead into the unit, and exterior graphics introduce the Stratasys identity and 3D printing message. The glass-facing layout gives the showroom a direct visual connection to visitors arriving outside.
A Leased Platform on a Tight Timeline
Using a leased base supported the project's documented two-and-a-half-month turnaround. Customizing an existing trailer rather than building from scratch let the project meet its schedule and budget.
Presenting Printers Alongside Their Applications
Craftsmen Industries fitted the Stratasys showroom with laminate cabinetry and sample displays.
The interior combines custom laminate cabinetry with a display counter holding a variety of printed parts. A wall-mounted screen and manufacturing graphics sit above the sample collection, linking physical objects to the brand presentation. Visitors could experience Stratasys printers firsthand and see finished additive-manufacturing parts.

Designed Around Visitor Spacing
Craftsmen Industries planned the Stratasys interior around the tour's operating plan.
The tour's operating plan limited the interior to six visitors at a time, reflecting the distancing approach used for that campaign. The expanded, glass-sided layout kept the space open and inviting within that limit.
The Result: Firsthand Additive Manufacturing Demonstrations
Craftsmen Industries delivered a mobile showroom that brought Stratasys demonstrations directly to business customers.
During the six-month national tour, the unit brought printer demonstrations and sample parts to businesses and created a setting to discuss potential applications in person. The project shows how a practical leased platform can be paired with fitted displays to meet a campaign's product-demonstration needs.
How Craftsmen Approaches Experiential Tour Builds
Craftsmen Industries designs experiential vehicles for brands, agencies and touring producers.
Its experiential work covers promotional vehicles, box trucks, expandable stage trailers and mobile showrooms for product sampling, pop-ups, brand tours and healthcare outreach. Units can be purchased or leased to fit a tour, and a single unit and a multi-unit fleet are scoped differently. One team carries a project from concept and 3D modeling through fabrication, graphics and delivery.
